Madhavan appear in guest roles. The film is a remake of the 2014 Malayalam film How Old Are You?, which also had the same director. The film was released on 15 September 2017 and received positive reviews from critics and audiences.
The film revolves around Prabhavathi (Jyothika), a progressive-minded documentary filmmaker who lives with her two friends in Mumbai. She is engaged to Gautham (R. Madhavan), a radio jockey who works in London. Prabhavathi's life changes when she meets Gomatha (Urvashi), her future mother-in-law, who is a conservative and traditional woman. Gomatha tells Prabhavathi that she wants to reunite with her two college friends, Rani Amirthakumari (Bhanupriya) and Subbulakshmi (Saranya Ponvannan), whom she has not seen for 36 years. Prabhavathi decides to help Gomatha and takes her on a trip to find her friends.
Prabhavathi learns that Rani is a widow who lives with her son and daughter-in-law in Agra. She is unhappy with her life and feels neglected by her family. Subbulakshmi is a politician's wife who lives in Delhi. She is a submissive and obedient woman who has no say in her husband's affairs. Prabhavathi convinces Rani and Subbulakshmi to join them on their trip and the four women embark on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. They visit various places, have fun, and bond with each other. They also face some challenges and conflicts along the way, such as Rani's son disapproving of her friendship, Subbulakshmi's husband trying to control her, and Gautham being upset with Prabhavathi for postponing their wedding.
The film ends with Prabhavathi, Gomatha, Rani, and Subbulakshmi celebrating their friendship and realizing their dreams. Prabhavathi makes a documentary on the lives of the three women, which becomes a hit and inspires many other women. Gomatha starts a catering business with her friends' help. Rani reconciles with her son and daughter-in-law and becomes a tour guide. Subbulakshmi divorces her husband and joins politics as an independent candidate. Prabhavathi and Gautham get married and move to London.
